Cousins Rashmini and Rukshan, inspired by the flavours and colours of their nature-rich home Sri Lanka, endeavour to share the story of their heritage through Botanistry.
I was lucky enough to work with Rashmini from Bontanistry right from the start, and initially supported their product launch with two recipes, as well as product photography and Instagram posts starring their core blends; Glowing Greens and Boosting Ambers. Immunity Boosting Bars
It’s been a pleasure watching the business grow from strength to strength. In August 2021, we collaborated to create a special treat: Immune Boost Bars (Pumpkin Lime Pie with Coconut, Maple and Almond Brittle) using their Boosting Ambers, which were sold in Taupo’s wellness cafe The Cozy Corner for several weeks. The Immune Boost Bars were such a hit at The Cozy Corner (and remain a topic of customers’ conversations), that they will make a re-appearance in the cabinet for a limited period over July 2022.
Our three-way collaboration with The Cozy Corner worked well – so much so that the cafe created a limited edition smoothie for the specials board with their Active Corals blend, designed to resemble a healthy mocktail; suitably named Coral Kiss. The smoothie has proven to be a real crowd-pleaser, and remains on their menu today.
I later worked with Botanistry again to develop four more recipes with product and recipe photography and Instagram posts for their remaining two products; Digestive Jades and Active Corals.
I continue to use the Botanistry at home. Besides smoothies and porridge, I often sprinkle the Glowing Greens over my sauteed vegetables and eggs. Botanistry is a brand I’m grateful to be connected with – what a great range of functional products, run by great people!
