Nestled under trees alongside the road, this quaint kiosk offers home-baked treats, pastries, salads and, importantly, delicious coffee. Whether you’re road trippin’ from here to there, or have time to sit at one of their farm-style tables under dappled sunlight, Ravish is a gem in Matakana’s lush countryside.
I styled and shot a selection of cabinet items and cooked food, accompanied by coffees for context. I wanted to showcase the business’ personality; wooden tables, wooden boards and leaves – and we included takeaway plates, bags and napkins not only for compositional value but to support the dine in/takeaway nature of the business. We also photographed whole batches of cakes, loaves and slices to demonstrate the catering side of the business.
I wanted to capture the kiosk like a landmark – as it stands behind branded signs that decorate the roadside. It’s picturesque, and looks beautiful beneath the shelter of glittery poplar trees.
